Fun facts: I had to redraw Argus multiple times until I got close to what kinds of images I had envisioned – The first one was of him trying to break his chains getting angered or given motivation from the butterfly hovering above his head, but I could never get the pose to look right no matter how many times I drew it, and the other one was of him fighting a dog in the fighting ring, or he is fending off an “Engineered Dog” (Lovelovelove, love that!) to protect Roy and Benjamin . The latter I felt had strength and power to it as it had a form of urgency and seemed to leave a stronger impact on me, so I stuck with it, and went on to refine it from there..And again, I couldn’t get Argus to look right no matter what I did xC And then there was the part when OpenCanvas was acting up and crashing whenever I tried converting it to a Photoshop file so I could do the shading and add more details to the sky.. But I managed it in the end, and listening to my daily dose of Epica [Their newest album] and constantly revisiting it, really boosted my creativity and sped the process faster, I believe
And I daren’t forget....HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEZZOI AND PEMZINI!!! For : I loved the process of creating this piece. It was challenging, but it was so worth it! Like Dezzoi’s gift, I chose to craft a fan-made poster of one of your personal works, the story of Roy being the one I chose. The concept sounds so cool, and the characters look and sound so endearing, and it seems like a lot of heart is going into the expansion and creativity of this story, something of which I admire so much!
The same with Dezzoi’s gift, I included fan-made ‘credits’ to give the poster a little more polished feel and look to it to make it stink of ‘professionalism’ The credits and names listed are pretty much the same (Including my shoehorned credit); nothing’s changed with the exception of switching names around.
On to the voice actors! I chose Elijah Wood and Liam Neeson because I couldn’t find voices that I personally thought were suitable to their personality in my eyes, nor could I find one for Benjamin (Hence why he is un-cast). I hope you find the choices suitable!
And the idea of a title was a hard one, as you have yet to find one that really suits the story as it is. I hope you don’t mind what I gave, even if it’s just a working title. I went through a list of many upon many titles I had conjured up, but none of them seemed to speak to me; I wanted for it to be simple, but still be able to convey the goings on in the story. I thought back to the song “Forsaken” by Within Temptation, and I liked the sound of it, considering the main characters do get left behind to fend for themselves at some point, or that they were given up to the facility by their humans, or they were taken away from their masters by the evil white-coats..?
So, there you have it...I hope you enjoy it, and have a great day of cake and celebration, you two! And last but not least - Enjoy the High Definition ;D
And, until NOW I noticed that I misspelled “Violence” with “Violance” in the fake MPAA rating box *Facepalm*
EDIT: FIXED ;D
And I just noticed that your b-day is coming up. >:3 *rubs hands together* Hehehe, I already have a ton of ideas that I need to get out of my system.
Again, I am absolutely just blown away by this. Your artwork never ceases to amaze me. I always look forward to it. Amazing work, thank you so so much! I am seriously so honored to have a picture from you. <3<3<3 Thank you!!
Oh and lmao, I love how you put Elijah Wood and Liam Neeson in there.
And omg we can now edit comments! Awesome!
Anyways, this one, just like the other, was freakin' amazing. I love how dynamic you make these things. *is starstruck*
Thank you very much! I didn't expect to finish this until tomorrow, but the entire process seemed to speed up the longer all the detail went. I surprise myself sometimes!
